Aug 26, 2012  The successful re-launch of Backyard Sports continues with the release of Backyard Sports: Rookie Rush. Fan favorite characters Pablo, Dmitri and Joey will play ball with new friends in this action-packed Backyard Sports football game which features 9 interactive fields and new even better turbo-charged power-ups.

Since 2015, Backyard Sports Association has been hosting highly competitive sporting events with the intention of bringing increased competition to the backyard games you know and love. Whether it's hitting a walk-off home run, sinking a three-pointer as time expires, or catching the game winning touchdown in the back corner of the endzone, BSA gives the opportunity to relive your athletic dreams.
The Backyard Sports Association was created in order to give rebirth to the excitement of backyard sports for highly competitive high school and college students, as well as other adults. BSA attempts to give all of its athletes the chance to feel like a professional athlete and to play in a unique environment, win a championship, maybe even be traded right before a deadline. If you are highly competitive, if you miss the thrill of winning a backyard championship, or if you simply want to have some fun with sports, join us!

It is a privilege to honor them.”

My Backyard Sports

Backyard Sports Cares (BYSC) is the nonprofit (501c3) division of Backyard Sports, the leading provider of community team sports programs for kids of all ages in Westchester County. Established in 2005, Backyard Sports is committed to replacing today’s “win at all costs” mentality of youth sports with an approach that promotes increased self-confidence and a lifetime love of sports while maximizing the athletic potential of each participant. BYSC was created to bring these ideals to children who have limited access to traditional youth sports programs, including children with special needs. This fundraiser will help BYSC to continue to use the power of team sports to positively influence youth players and their communities.

About the Honorees

Michael Moser is a partner in the law firm of Winston & Strawn. Michael’s love of sports and working with children has led him to remain active and involved with sports programs throughout every stage of his life. Michael has served as a Board Member of Backyard Sports Cares since its inception and served as President from 2012 to 2018.

Dave Shuster is a principal at Friedman LLP, where he represents taxpayers in their controversies against the Internal Revenue Service and the various state taxing authorities. Although Dave played soccer competitively throughout middle and high school, his fondest sports memories from his youth are of playing pickup street hockey and touch football for hours on end with his friends after school when soccer season ended each fall. These experiences have inspired his participation in Backyard Sports Cares, where he has also been a board member since BYSC’s inception, as well as treasurer from 2011 to 2018.
